Classroom Rules and Behavioral Chart
In Mrs. Nico's Class we agree that we need to:
When we have trouble remembering the rules,
Mrs. Nico will ask us what rule we are having
trouble with, and what we need to do instead.
On the Behavioral Chart in class, each student has a pocket with four colored cards. The following steps will be taken to help students self-evaluate their behavior and come up with a better plan.
The colored cards represent the different steps.
Yellow = Self-Directed Student
Step 1: Green = Verbal Reminder
Step 2: Blue = Written Plan
Step 3: Orange = 2nd Written Plan in another room
If a student is consistently getting their card turned and not showing improvement on their behavioral choices, Mrs. Nico will call the parent(s)/guardian(s) to schedule a meeting to develop a behavioral plan.
*** Resource Information:
This "Classroom Rules and Behavioral Chart" was designed by my mother, Mrs. Ann Williams, for her 3rd Grade Class. Most of these procedures are listed how they originally appear on the "Classroom Routines" page of her classroom website; however, I have made a few changes. All of the classroom management ideas presented in this section are the original work of Mrs. Ann Williams.
- Be Kind
- Be Safe
- Be Responsible
- Raise Hand Before Speaking
- Be Respectful of Self, Others, and all Properties and Materials
- Do Our BEST QUALITY Work!
